Did you capture the American Idol finals in 2015 between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? Who won? The one with the best voice? Or the one with the most character?
I’m gon na inform you a secret, something nobody ever informs business owners. It’s not about being the very best! It never ever was. Yet a lot of entrepreneurs squander their time and money extoling being the very best. “We offer the very best doohickeys …” “We offer the best customer care …” ‘
It’s dopey to extol being the very best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everyone states it.
2. It’s probably not real.
3. We don’t believe you anyway
Don’t fret about it, ’cause
4. We’re not constantly looking for the best.
Take a look at vocalists. The most well-known. The most enjoyed. Are they the best? Rod Stewart’s what, 92? And still churning out hit albums! “Do You Think I’m Sexy?” No Rod. I do not. When the song came out and certainly not now, not 30 years back. However somehow a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his possessions on American Idol together with Taylor Hicks! Poor Catherine is doing a lame cameos on Ugly Betty.
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The factor they call it “it” is because it’s tough to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charisma, magnetism, the power to hold an audience and attract. Frankly, Rod Stewart never did it for me, however Elvis certainly had “it”.
Gain Access To Your Inner Elvis
I simply saw a motion picture about Elvis’ life. Why are people so amazed by Elvis? 피클티비 Because a personality that huge never ever dies.
Why was the person such a star? Was it his look, his character, his voice, his music? It’s most likely all of those things– together with this magical thing called “it”, but even with Elvis, it took him a while to discover his inner “it”.
In the motion picture, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis strolls into Sun Records, a little Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like the other day’s news. Just another singer. A cent a lots.
It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to find his original voice. Ultimately he did find it.
What’s this got to finish with entrepreneurs? Whatever!
You got ta find your initial voice. You got ta dig beyond the regular. You got ta discover your company’ character and after that you need to reveal it. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and enjoy your star shine.
